VSP Continues Investments in the Future of Optometry as It Marks 70 Years

Since 1955, VSP^® network doctors have delivered millions of hours of care to VSP members and helping people see. That’s why VSP has proudly supported the profession of optometry and the long-term success of providers for the last 70 years. We’re celebrating this milestone by expanding our investment in delivering value to VSP network providers by:

• Awarding 70 scholarships to students who plan to join a private practice or practice in underserved communities. To date, VSP has awarded $4 million to nearly 1,200 optometry students.
• Delivering live, regional education and training events that help simplify how you do business with VSP and maximize your revenue opportunities.
• Investing an additional $4 million in the VSP Vision™ Student Loan Repayment program to help doctors address student debt while further incentivizing staffing in underserved communities.
• Partnering with doctors to deliver eye care and eyewear to communities that need them most through 70 Eyes of Hope^® mobile clinic events in 2025.
